It is blazing fast, even faster than the the built-in SSD in my Macbook Pro 2017, doing 2200+ MB/s read and 1600+ MB/s write. (see screenshot). Having read some reviews that reported great results, I tried replacing the SSD with a newer and supposedly faster ADATA SX8200 Pro 1TB. Benchmark results were really disappointing though -- only 1600+ MB/s read and 1200+ MB/s write. When I replaced the internal chip with Samsung 970 pro 1T SSD, the speed is 1940.1 MB/s write and 2560.6 MB/s read. I'm very satisfied with the combination. I put the original SSD chip into a USB 3.1 enclosure. The speed is 912.7 MB/s write and 936.8 MB/s read. I costed a reasonable price for a two decent SSDs.
