Review: Very nice table - My wife, kids, extended family, and I are avid mahjong (Chinese, NOT "American" mahjong). For some time, we have been wanting a mahjong/game table, rather than playing on the dining room table. After doing some research on desertcart, and trying to make sense of the wide range in scores for various tables, we settled on this one. The table arrived as was well-packed. Some other reviewers say their table came with cracked corners or other damage. Ours had plastic reinforcement on each corner of the box, so no damage at all. The table was easy to set up and seems very durable and stable, thanks to the adjustable feet. Also, some other reviewers noted that the game mat was wrinkled or otherwise rumpled. I assumed this one would be likewise, as it was all balled up in the plastic casing that also included the table itself. Not so! The mat is a rubberized material that lay perfectly flat as soon as I placed it on the table. The mat, by the way is two-sided: one for mahjong and the other for some other game(s)...dominoes?? We actually prefer the domino side. The mat's surface is such that mixing mahjong tiles is so easy. They slide nicely, without the mat being too thick or too slick. It's perfect. Our only complaint, if you can call it that, is that when you open the legs to use the table, it takes a bit of heft to get things to snap in place. And more heft to fold the legs. But, that is a minor quibble and only further indicates that this table is pretty solid for the price. Very happy buyers!
