The taste is clear and sweet. It blends well with other fruit, tahini, or spices. It has also done well baked into a cake instead of sugar. The glass jar is a plus, as it doesn't add plastic to the food and is easy to pour out of or spoon out of. I wasn't too crazy about the packaging, but the 2 that I ordered arrived undamaged. They were in a cardboard box, surrounded by a lot of brown paper. Apparently, that works, although it might have been helpful to put a "fragile" label on the outside of the box.
