I love this Guarana! I wish I had known about it years ago and used it instead of coffee in college. I put it in my morning yogurt with honey and it offsets the slight bitter taste. It has an earthy taste that I like. It feels like it's good for my body/nerves and makes me really happy. I sometimes combine it in tea with Ginko to really boost my brain power. Great product!

Guarana is one of the best sources of good, clean caffeine. I can get under 100mg of caffeine from this and feel like I used to feel on energy drinks with triple the caffeine (not to mention all the other junk). It tastes kind of like matcha if you are into that. Sure the flavor is rough, it is not a drink powder, it is pulverized seeds. Add it to a smoothie or yogurt if you want to bypass it entirely. Otherwise, I find if you steep it in hot water for 2 mins, then filter out the largest bits, and add some agave nectar for sweetness, it ends up being a decent tea.

I have been using various products containing guarana since the early ‘70s and Guarana Seed Powder by Alovitox is the most effective and reasonably price source I’ve found. It is also organically grown, which is a big plus to my way of thinking.There are many reasons I prefer consuming guarana over drinking coffee. Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is a species of climbing plant native to the Amazon that is known as an antioxidant, traditional medicinal, and an effective stimulant. Guarana seeds contain an additional stimulant over caffeine alone that support its tonic effects. Guarana energy is much longer lasting than coffee, plus the stimulation is less jittery and more clear in character.Guarana not only contains higher amounts of caffeine than coffee, it also contains other alkaloids and fats that suppress the sensation of hunger and thirst. But the greatest difference for me is that gurana is not acidic like coffee. Coffee acidity upsets my stomach and makes me dizzy, which actually counteracts the stimulation I want from a caffeine source.I only wish this product would have been available when I first began using gaurana. It is raw, vegan, gluten free, organic, reasonably priced, and convenient as it can be added to your morning health shake, smoothies, encapsulated, or as I do, added to water with a mixture of other healthful herbs. Anyway, I was persuaded to do so in this case, because I was promised some free product. So, I took away a star because of not receiving the promised product.Original review:I decided to try Guarana for two reasons. One, while I like coffee, my stomach does not always like it, so I was looking for alternatives. I had started drinking energy drinks, and I do like them, but they are not totally good for one's health, and the natural or organic ones are tooooooo expensive. In looking at the ingredients I noticed a few commonalities of most energy drinks - one of which is Guarana. So I decided to give the Alovitox brand a try as it had decent reviews.So far the Guarana powder from Alovitox has been good. It is a little chalky, and has an earthy taste and should be strained or filtered. I have had it hot and cold. I prefer to cold brew it for a day or two, and I usually mix it with other ingredients such as ginseng, maca or similar items. I like to add a little ginger for a good kick. Sometimes I add some natural sugar or honey to it, but often drink it as it is. It gives me the pep I need without having to drink coffee or so many energy drinks. I do not get the jitters that can come from drinking to much coffee. The energy lasts for a decent amout of time, and I can drink it continuously throughout the day. Overall it is a good product, that I would recommend trying. I will buy more in the future.

I purchased this guarana seed product as a replacement to the grossly overpriced Herbalife tea and the more expensive Nutricost guarana powder. Knowing it is pure ground guarana seed, I knew the flavor would be pretty bad. It does taste like dirt, a very organic acquired taste, but for me it is tolerable. The issue I have with the Alovitox guarana powder is it will not dissolve, no matter how much you mix, stir, shake or wait. I almost only drink water and any supplement or additive I consume gets mixed with water. This stuff will not, by any means dissolve. When you drink it, you need to shake it well, drink it, and then chase it with something else to remove the sand like granules left in your mouth. I am sure it probably does well when mixed into a smoothie or something thick that will suspend the ground seeds, but if your drink of choice is good old H2O, I might pass on this. However, it is ground guarana seed and it provides all the uplifting benefits of guarana, no complaints there, that is if you can deal with the grit. I have come to prefer the Nutricost brand of ground guarana. Although more expensive, it is a much finer powder that actually dissolves in water and also tastes like dirt. If I am going to drink dirt water, I prefer mine without the dirt grit and grinds. Aside from that, this stuff works as advertised.

This stuff works. It just does. Forewarning, yes this stuff is bitter and gritty. I suggest throwing it in a smoothie or with juice or something and quickly bottoms up and downing it. I personally used this in a smoothie for 3 weeks now and it's amazing. For one, in a smoothie I don't taste it and two it really gives me an so day energy and clarity. I originally got this because I'm not a coffee drinker and wanted something to give me a "kick", well this has given me that and more. When it does "wear off", it's not natural versus a crash. Just feels like you day is winding down. I highly recommend.

I enjoy putting it in my oatmeal or orange juice to cover up the taste. With the combination of healthy eating and working out, it is helping me with my weight loss. I have also decreased my coffee intake because this gives me the energy I need for my day.

Not all Guarana is equal,but this seed powder is the real deal.It has all the characteristics I like from Guarana; a balanced energy with less of a crash that lasts for longer than Coffee.I gently simmer 6grams on the stove for 30 minutes and enjoy the pleasant, earthy taste that somewhat resembles cocoa, giving me about 190mg Caffeine (or about a cup of extra strong coffee).What is less spoken about is Guarana's apparent adaptogen-like qualities, likely related to its high saponin and tannin content. In about a week, I noticed a moderate elevation of the mood.In short, this Guarana will provide a balanced energy with less of a crash. Because of the high tannin content it takes longer to feel the full effects, about 90 minutes, so bear that in mind.If you find Coffee makes you too jittery and tea makes you a little too sluggish, guarana might be your new favorite morning beverage of choice!

This stuff is incredible. The bag says to take a teaspoon but for me half a teaspoon is honestly enough! I get a blast of energy but I’m not jittery and wired like when I drink coffee. I’m alert and focused all day at work without the crash at the end of the day. I thought this powder would be sweet but it actually has a earthy flavour to it. But then I realize the bag says guarana SEED powder which makes sense as to why it’s not sweet. I don’t expect the seeds themselves to be sweet. I put half a half teaspoon in some hot water with a squeeze of lemon and that’s my morning tea to start my day! I’m definitely ordering again once this runs out.

The powder arrived. It came in a small white envelope, as the prophets had foretold. I bent down on my porch to pick it up. As I did, I saw before me a flash of light, and I fell back in alarm. I heard a voice as if from around me, like surround sound in a movie. It spoke: "This is the powder I have foretold of. Take not it's power or taste lightly. It is yours to wield." Stunned, I found myself unable to speak. I looked around, but I could see nothing, and the voice came from no man. As I slowly returned to my senses, I realized I was in the presence of what was probably the greatest Organic Guarana Seed Powder ever created by anyone, be it man or god. I picked up the package, which gave my palm a slight chemical burn which will be on my skin forever. In pain, I dragged it into the kitchen, and opened, with great caution, the envelope to reveal the real powder package inside. I was able to do so without angering any holy spirits or ghosts. I ripped the seal, and peeked at the powder inside. The smell that emanated from the package was as if sent from God himself. The texture was fine as silk from Venus. The taste was bitter, but it's supposed to be that way. I picked up my finest spoon, and scooped one teaspoon of Organic Guarana Seed Powder by Alovitox into my own custom home-made energy drink. I stirred and drank. Instantly, I lost the need for sleep for all eternity, and I will roam the earth for days, until I choose to die, which I may never do-I have become immortal. I knew now that I had one goal, to spread this powder over the entire earth. This powder made me a new man, and I have since grown up to become Kanye West.

I purchased this product as a coffee substitute. I make it just like a coffee, put it in a smoothie and also latte. Since having this product in my house I have not purchased coffee. I use to get a bit of a “crash” after drinking coffee. This stuff I get no “crash”.
