Review: Great pruners for the price, work well and I bought several to use around the garden. - I decided to ignore the reviews on page one of this product listing and order 4 of these.... I tend to lose pruners and leave them in various places around the yard (and in the house when the phone rings) so decided to take a chance since these are the least expensive pruners on desertcart right now. I am very pleased with them. Pro's and con's: Pro's: + Do a good job cutting small branches like roses etc. Can't handle larger branches, I'd say 1/4" max + Comfortable grip + Blade is sharp and seems to stay sharp - I used this all day for spring garden cleanup Cons: - When you press the handles together, this is hard to describe but they get so close to each other than I kept pinching my hands in them. After a few choice words, I finally learned how to hold them so I didn't pinch myself. I've never run into this with other pruners. If these were $20 I'd give them 3 stars for the above con, but for this price I'm very happy with these. Hope this helps. If so, what did you use?** A: I have had mine for at least 10 years. Yes now and then I sharpen them. But not with a tool or filing. With Aluminum Foil....and don't knock it folks it does work. I fold up a 3" or 4" full strip of kitchen aluminum foil. I fold the length up about twice. Then start cutting thin strips with the Fiskars from the base to the point. If mine are really dull then I keep cutting til there is pretty much nothing left of the foil. I do it over the trash can. It's an old Seamstress trick I learned tons of years ago for my Sewing Scissors...and YES it works and puts the sharp back on the blade. **Q: Has anyone needed to sharpen yet? If so, what did you use?** A: Hi Cheryl, I was having a problem and thought that the blades needed to be sharpened. But first I cleaned the blades thoroughly with nail polish remover and oiled the hinge...cuts like new now. **Q: Do you make them for left handed?** A: no, left handed person can't use them. I tried **Q: How do I repair rust on the blades?** A: Use 00 sandpaper to get of rust - then oil ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great pruners for the price, work well and I bought several to use around the garden. *by G***E on February 17, 2016* I decided to ignore the reviews on page one of this product listing and order 4 of these....
