The build quality seems great.I bought these “like new” here on Amazon and some of the spokes had the black paint chipped away, but I didn’t mind. It must be painted on versus the metal being black.The only problem I had is that the tires which come on the wheel set (700x28c) were too big for my single speed conversion. I ride a 49cm fixed gear State (make) bicycle and needed a replacement for my old set of wheels. This was the substitute for my old gold, deep rim wheels and although the coloring is slightly more bold and orange than my previous brass gold color, it works really well and hold up in all weather so far. I live in Portland, Oregon where we get rain, snow, ice, and sun all in one-day during the beginning of the spring season. The tires have managed to tolerate all weather so far. I keep my bicycle in the garage so it is away from the weather, but when I need to ride, it has yet to fail me.
