All these options require proper understanding of the MIDI protocol and so are often overlooked by neophytes who then complain things do not work. Out of the box, no it does not do what you want. Nothing does. **Q: Has anyone tried this with Vegas Pro video edit software?** A: Not me, however, the unit is specifically designed for DAW (digital audio workstation) use with overlay templates for most software currently on the market; such as Cubase, Ableton, Logic, etc. It supports the following operating modes; Mackie Control, HUI and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and also has an "MC User" mode where the individual buttons can be assigned by the user. You can download a shareware plugin for Lightroom Classic called Midi2LR that works with Windows or MacOS. It takes a bit of setting up but there are plenty of examples on the web. It works very well and speeds up sorting and editing quite a bit. **Q: Will it work with After Effects amd photoshop?** A: Yes you can get this to work the those programs but it's not a straight out of the box solution. You'd need a third party midi translator like Bome's MIDI Translator Pro. It's not straight forward and will some time and patience to get it working, but it can be done for sure. It functions exactly as expected with the exception of two issues. 1) the lcd window isn’t easily viewable from some angles and so requires you to be looking down on it - not always what you need 2) not a fault of the unit itself, more Mackie control; you have to scroll through banks of 8 faders to select a channel to work on.
