I recently purchased the Imou 2K Solar Security Camera PTZ Solar Powered Battery Camera set, and it has exceeded all my expectations. Here's why:**Setup and Installation:**The installation process was straightforward and hassle-free. The package included all necessary hardware, and the step-by-step instructions were clear. The set comes with two cameras, which is fantastic for covering multiple areas around my home. The solar panels and wireless connectivity made it easy to set up the cameras without worrying about running wires or finding power sources.**Performance:**The image quality is excellent, both during the day and at night. The PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) feature is smooth and responsive, allowing me to cover a wide area and zoom in on specific details when needed. The motion detection is accurate and not overly sensitive, reducing false alarms. The quality is actually really good.**Battery Life and Solar Panel:**The solar panels work efficiently, keeping the cameras powered without needing frequent recharges. Even in cloudy conditions, the battery life has been impressive, lasting several days on a single charge.**Current Setup and Future Plans:**I have currently fitted one camera at the front of my house and plan to install the second camera in the back street soon. I just wish I could connect these cameras to my Hik-Connect system, which would integrate them with my existing security setup. I will update this review further once I install the second camera.**App and Connectivity:**The app is user-friendly and provides real-time alerts. Live streaming is seamless with minimal lag. The Imou 2k is a good choice home CCTV camera if you have a large garden where normal CCTV does not cover the entire area. With the auto tracking function as long as the camera see movements it will auto follow the subject, great if there is blind spots for static camera.The solar panel does top up the internal battery and since the battery itself will last weeks without charging, as long as the panel has direct sun light every other week it will keeps it going. The test will be winter months when there is no direct sun for weeks on end. If that happens we can use a powerbank and top up the battery as needed.The phone app is not the easiest to use but all the basic function of CCTV is available, a lot of the AI and advance feature is available only if you pay subscriptions so we just install a 32gb micro SD card and store files locally in the camera. Motion detection still works without subs and I can still view footage away from home using the phone app and cell data.The 2k footage is clear and there are still a lot of details when zoomed in.

Price at review: £74.99On the face of it this is a really good camera, it has good quality images, the night vision and range is great. It has a cute little face and it pans and tilts inquisitively and has a wide range of movement.It is absolutely packed full of features and especially useful is the human detection which is so much better than pure motion detection because it only kicks off when someone is actually near your property. It also has a cool follow mode where it turns to follow whoever is in the frame to let them fully know they are being recorded. Optionally it also can turn on its glowing headlight eyes and make an alarm sound if you want.The solar is awesome and the cable is long enough that I could mount the camera on one side of the house and the panel on the south facing wall. So far the battery is staying up in the 90% range.So why am I not giving this 5 stars?The first thing I don't like is that it sends everything over the internet via the manufacturers servers and it doesn't use encryption while it is doing this either. Even when you are on the same WiFi network as your camera it sends everything out of your broadband router to the server and then back again so you can see it.Most of the advanced features require a subscription. I would prefer to be able to use it without logging in or having to have a subscription and just use it on my WiFi directly. If the manufacturer goes out of business it will likely become completely useless overnight.The second problem is that even with the motion detection turned off and the human detection turned on, it still reacts to movement and pans and tilts to look at it. This means when it is, for example, raining or leaves are moving in the wind then it is constantly moving trying to see something.I would prefer to be able to have it locked in one position until it sees a human and only then follow them with the panning. This also would save a lot of wasted battery. Plus while mine is looking at the trees waving in the wind it could miss the person down below...I have another camera from another manufacturer which works exactly like this and that makes so much more sense to me.

Great value for money very easy to set up and it has a great app. Good picture quality and night vision

Ottima telecamera da esterno, molto bella esteticamente, funzionale, ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo.La telecamera si installa molto facilmente, con il suo pannello solare molto efficiente e poco ingombrante. Le immagini sono molto belle, nitide e ben definite, sia di giorno che di notte sono a colori e si accendono i led. La telecamera può essere installata ovunque anche in posti dove non è presente la corrente, in quanto si ricarica da sola grazie al pannello solare e una batteria da 5000 mAh. A livello di videosorveglianza è molto sensibile, si regola tutto tramite App anche a distanza, si possono stabilire 6 zone di controllo e l’attivazione anche della sirena in caso di intrusione. Io la ritengo un ottimo prodotto in tutto. Imou è un marchio molto affidabile, ne ho acquistate diverse anche per uso interno e devo dire che sono perfette, migliori di altre marche blasonate che a distanza di pochi mesi ho dovuto buttare via perché non funzionavano più.Grazie IMOU ottimo lavoro.

Après quelques difficultés pour connecter la caméra au réseau WIFI (Séparation des bande 2.4ghz et 5 ghz), tout est impec. L'image est vraiment de qualité, l'utilisation facile, les réglages aisés.

Very happy with this solar powered camera, perfect picture and instantly picks up and follows the "object" upon detection.At night, clear vision still and with the lights switching on upon detection is a really good addition and deterrent. The optional alarm sound upon detection is very loud and fit for purpose.Installed camera in our Spanish home and can control it when in the UK via the easy-to-use app. Would recommend!

Bon l’installation n’a pas été simple , je touche pas mal en informatique, j’avais réussi à l’installer une première fois mais après plusieurs essais et l’installation extérieur ne pouvant être fait dans l’immédiat, elle était resté inactive… et la énorme problème pour la remettre en fonction .. j’ai été obligé d’installer un répéteur de wifi car c’était le réseau qui n’était pas assez puissant .. si vous n’y arrivez pas persister c’est une bon produit et en cas de soucis la solution ci-dessus est génial la caméra fonctionne super !!!
