Or is it a clone and how can you tell the difference?** A: Well interesting. What would be the definitive test? I can only say I now have two batteries, one which was supplied with the camera and the other bought via Amazon. In day to day use I cannot tell the difference - my second purchase is a few years old now and still going much as the other. I have looked at both carefully and they are identical except one (and I cannot now of course distinguish one from another!) says 'Made in China' in three languages; the other just says -' Made in Japan. Pack assembled in China'. And their numbers vary - one is 9B35A; the other 2010 -05 D5S does this help! **Q: Is this a genuine Panasonic product?** A: No its not made by Panasonic but it works absolutely fine for me. So far I am very pleased with it and find it extremely useful to have a spare battery with me as they need to be charged inside the camera unless you purchase a separate charger. The item is not cheap but I was very aware that cheaper items are likely to be fake and not do the job they were bought for so decided on other peoples recommendations that it was better to buy an original which this battery has proved to be. I am hoping it will have a long life and give me good service. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Expensive, but better in the long term than 3rd party batteries *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 1 November 2015* This is an original Panasonic battery and works in both the TZ60 I bought it for, and the TZ70 I replaced it with when the TZ60 turned out to have a fault recording video. They're not cheap, but they have a long lifetime when compared to third-party batteries which last well for a few months and then seem to age quickly and not hold their charge so well after a year or so.
