Review: Nice brush for mixed media ! - Love these for collage work ! Hold their shape and are easy to clean and tolerate glues and mediums.
Review: Good firm brush for moving paint around - I bought it for a 30 ×40 inch oil painting with a cloudy sky. It holds paint well and gives you control to move it where you want it without noodling around. If I was going to paint any bigger I would still use this, but would also invest in a bigger filbert. I would prefer a longer handle, but decided to go with the less expensive option. It still works well. Very pleased with the results I get with it.

## Features

- BREAKTHROUGH TECHNOLOGY—The Catalyst series features paintbrushes with synthetic bristles where each individual fiber has been split to replicate the natural flags on the finest natural bristle
- ADVANCED POLYTIP BRISTLES—Each fiber has two to three distinct tips, allowing the brush to hold a high volume of paint while providing a smoother application and better control
- BETTER THAN NATURAL BRISTLES—Unlike natural hog bristles, our artist paint brushes offer real integrity, maximum stiffness and the best color holding capacity and shape retention.
- MADE TO MOVE PAINT—Catalyst brushes are designed for use with medium to heavy-bodied acrylics and oil paints. They can even push heavy gel mediums with assurance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ an excellent brush and will be worth your money
*by L***E on March 1, 2018*

Short version: it is an excellent brush and will be worth your money. Long version: I have tried all sorts of brushes out there... cheap and pricey. I purchased the #6 Filbert (short handle) and absolutely love my new brush. I’ve only had it for a few days but it’s been subjected to lots of oil paint and cleaning, and I am pleased to say it does not splay like a natural hog bristle brush would after the extensive use/washing I’ve put it through. I’ve noticed other brushes separate when wet/in use but this one does not and I am very glad for that. The brush also has the perfect balance of softness and spring, especially for my firm oil paints. I honestly never considered purchasing a half synthetic / half natural bristle brush but I am glad that I purchased this brush. In just a few days I’ve come to the conclusion that it was worth the money I paid for it, and I will certainly purchase these brushes again in the future. I have not tried it with acrylics yet but am almost certain it would perform just as well.
