Pump housing and all pump parts appear to be interchangeable with Hayward Super Pump II. Pump is quiet and creates less pressure on the system then the previous pump. This does make it safe not to pump too much pressure on the system. In conclusion, don’t be afraid to buy a 2.5 hp pump because it’s too strong. It’s not making more pressure that a good 2HP pump.
