Exactly as advertised
I read reviews of several pillows and this one was my first to buy. I have used it for about 6 weeks now and its great. I read reviews mentioning this pillow being more ideal for larger people, ex: men over 6foot. I can see why a person might say that, but I dont think its really an issue for a shorter person. The head cradle is in the center of the pillow as it should be and the back of the head doesnt need to nestle inbetween all available space to give neck/head support. Also, I've read a few mentions that this pillow cannot be molded to shape. Precisely. It cannot and why you want it to? After at least a month of daily use, my pillow is firm, supportive but comfortable. On a personal note, I suffer from a lower back issue that has over many many years turned into a pinched nerve in my neck. The frequency of flare ups of throbbing pain has reduced alongside heating pad, neck traction, exercises and making adjustments in chairs and seats that I frequent. What I'm getting at is that this pillow is GREAT as an assist but will not solve problems all on its own. Another pro to this is that with your head at a much lower incline than what most Americans are probably used to, breathing is easier in the night which has led to better sleep. For real, I have been sleeping deeper. The incline still feels unnatural, but a traditional pillow is pushing a spine out alignment all night. Ouch. Now the cons..there isnt many and I reckon the makers couldnt solve them. In my experience, I am a mouth breather in my sleep, not a snorer so I wake up with cotton mouth since switching. Secondly, you really are limited to sleeping either on your back or tilted to one side, maybe even on your side entirely. Absolutely no comfortable belly sleeping. Then again, if you're searching for a pillow to help with neck issues, its extremely counterproductive to sleep on your stomach. Fact, stomach sleeping causes your neck to be torqued one way or the other for hours at a time. "I slept wrong" is usually a belly sleeper. #guiltyThats it. Neck issues? Just had surgery? Ladies and gentlemen, this pillow is your new favorite. Would buy again.

Good quality pillow, helped me retrain myself to sleep in a healthier position
I ordered this pillow a few months ago and waited until I really used it a lot in order to review it properly. As a background: I suffer from TMJ Disorder and I clench (not grind) my teeth at night. I cannot stand those nasty mouth trays that you're supposed to sleep in and I refuse to use them. Also, I sleep on my stomach and have anxiety... The mix of all these things have resulted in chronic headaches of every variety, including ocular migraines - which are terrifying, but I digress.I found myself at the chiropractor's office on a regular basis getting my tense jaw and neck muscles worked on. Mostly because the tension headaches became almost debilitating. She recommended a cervical pillow and that's why I ordered this one.First things first, the pillow itself: it arrived as promised, is made of decent materials, doesn't smell weird or anything, and is a fairly normal-ish pillow, besides the fact that the middle of it is sunken in. And it's a little firmer than I'm used to. So color me unimpressed when I first got it.And then came the test: the first night I slept on it, I was obviously a little discombobulated... Changing a pillow is a lot like driving someone else's car for the first time - you know it's technically the same thing, but things just feel a little ... off. There isn't that comfort zone. But fast forward a few nights later and, lo and behold, the damn thing got me out of sleeping in this funky position I have slept in for YEARS. The pressure was off my jaw and my neck was aligned all night so I woke up with NO TENSION HEADACHES for the first time in years. No joke, this really helped.Of course I was still seeing my chiropractor and getting adjusted, but I had been doing that before too and still getting headaches. So it's been a few months since I had the pillow and I stopped using it recently...WAIT WHAT?! Why, you ask, did I stop using it if it worked? Because I'm a creature of habit and I love my mushy marshmallow-y pillows. I know they're terrible for me but I love them. However, the weirdest thing is, I guess I got used to not sleeping in the weird positions I had been sleeping in for years. Because I no longer wake up with tension headaches and I'm not popping Advil like a junkie anymore. So the pillow was great if only for the fact that it helped me re-train myself to sleep like a normal person and as a result, my tension headaches disappeared.I quit the chiropractor because it was expensive, but I do hold on to this pillow dearly (it's safely tucked in my closet) and I do believe that this pillow is worth a try if you suffer from anything similar to what I just shared.

Ridiculously hard...but it can be fixed!
The general design of this product is exactly what I was looking for. I never understood why pillows are so thick when all that does is push your head forward when you sleep. I have been a back sleeper for a long time and couldn't ever find a pillow that didnt tilt my head down constantly, resulting in years of neck pain and frequent morning headaches. When I bought this, I was disappointed to find I almost had the opposite problem because it was SO. HARD. My neck had too much support and not enough softness, so after the first night, I woke up with a whole different kind of neck pain.I ended up getting my sewing kit, tearing open a corner, and removing about 1/3 of the stuffing, which is VERY densely packed. I reshaped it, sewed it back up really quick and ta-da...it's now absolutely perfect. My neck pain and headaches have gotten better and I sleep through the whole night. I sleep on my side occasionally and it's comfortable for that as well. The only reason I have it 4 stars is just because I had to alter it a bit. It was easy to do so if you are having trouble finding a pillow like this that doesn't feel like it's filled with concrete and bricks, just get a little creative. :)
