I have been using redragon keyboards for years, so I figured that any missing peripherals would be easily swapped. Fortunately, this item arrived in its original packaging with all accessories in new condition. I suppose some people just don't like minimalist keyboards. The magnetic switches are much easier to work with as opposed to mechanical ones that require copper pins to make contact with the pcb. This also opens up a wider variety of options if and when I decide to install higher end switches. The key caps are a bit rough, but for the price, you're getting a platform upon which to build and upgrade. I would recommend some sort of wrist rest and/or desk mat, as these smaller keyboards can be troublesome for those with larger hands. If you're handy and like to tinker, there is much potential to modify this relatively cheap keyboard to compete with the likes of much more expensive models. The software is a point of contention, as most redragon boards do not need companion software to take advantage of their features. Due to the nature of magnetic switches, software is required to access some (but not all) of the features. The lighting effects are more sophisticated than other keyboards of this price range, and the ability to customize each individual key is far more convenient than, say, replacing individual switches to accomplish the same thing with a mechanical keyboard. 3rd party scripts and mods will work with this board just like any other. Use it for gd and valorant and it’s pretty responsive. Software is decent but I rarely use it.
