The TPE-1620WS switch has 16 x gigabit PoE+ ports plus 4 shared gigabit ports (RJ-45 connection or fiber SFP slot). With the four shared ports you have the option to use either the RJ-45 Ethernet port interface, or the fiber SFP slot interface for a fiber SFP module. They are called shared because you can use either the copper RJ-45 Ethernet interface or the SFP slot for fiber applications. Hope this helps!
