A beautiful experience
First, I noticed the beauty of the flowers in the container. Purple is my favorite color, and this is a deep and vibrant purple flower. I placed 1 flower in a large mug and added boiling water. I allowed it to steep about 5 minutes. Truth be told, I wasn't wild about the flavor, but I like to drink tea unsweetened so at first I did not add sugar. Then I DID add a bit of sugar (I didn't have any honey) to my first cup and enjoyed it. About 45 minutes later, I took a beautiful nap of about an hour. On awakening, I used the same flower for a 2nd cup of tea, and this time I drank it without adding sugar or any sweetener at all. Per the directions on the package, the same flower can be brewed repeatedly until the color fades. This is a new experience for me, as I usually just use tea bags (boring). Using a flower for tea is a beautiful experience and feels so natural and right.

Interesting
Wasn't sure what to expect with these.Using as a pure tea, brewing straight away, it has an unusual, slightly sweet aromatic that is carried over into the flavor. While I didn't find this to be bad, I'm not sure I would want to drink this, straight.Instead, of brewing tea with these, I think i will put them in already brewed tea to serve. To me, that'll help strike the balance I'm looking for on flavor while also making a truly beautiful and unique presentation.

Sweet, smooth, pretty
The blue lotus tea infusion is beautiful to look at. I smelled a floral aroma as soon as the flower was immersed. And after 5 minutes, I removed the flower, sipped the tea, and was delighted by its sweet smooth flavor. I had read that best tasting prep would include adding honey or sugar. The flower is so lovely as is, I don’t need or want to add anything. Now let’s see if it controls my blood sugar and relaxes me. I’ll enjoy brewing and drinking this tea in the meantime.

Not bad
I've never tried this before and it just wasn't my thing, but I don't feel that's an issue with the product. The flowers were packaged decently in the jar and look alright. The directions were clear as well. If this is your kinda thing, try 'em!

Lovely and fresh, but concerned that this is marketed for consumption
I got these flowers for decorative purposes, and they are quite pretty and freshly dried. Their colors are a bright yellow and deep purple--even dried!--and they have a pleasant herbaceous scent that reminds me a little of artichokes. They are intact and lovely. For their appearance and freshness I would give them five stars. However, the product is also marketed as a tea. Because I was intrigued to try it as a tea, I did a little online research to learn more. I was surprised to learn that blue lotus is not approved for human consumption in the U.S. and is actually not legal for ingestion in at least one state. Although it has been used in other countries for millenium for a variety of purposes, please educate yourself before consuming this as a tea.

blue flower I wanted.
Since I first tried this type of flower tea in Hong Kong, I have been serving it to my guests. Not that I particularly enjoy the taste of this type of tea (actually flower teas are not my favorite in terms of taste), but it looks lovely and is always a good conversation starter for any occasion when the flowers blossom in a large, clear teapot. The last one I had from another brand was a red flower, so I like these blue flowers, which happen to be my favorite color. I will add photos once the review goes through to show how it looks in the teapot. Also, I usually don't, but I might try putting it directly inside my cup this time, as shown on the product detail page. I just started to think it could also look cool to serve one flower per person in a clear tea cup.So far, this is exactly what I wanted.

Blue lotus whole flowers, as advertised, seems like a good sleep aid, needs sweetening
These are whole flowers, not any sort of extract. You can make tea with boiling water. It is very bitter! Add a packet of stevia, xylitol, or other sweetener to make it drinkable. I found it makes me sleepy (one flower, 8 oz) so if that is the effect you want, buy this.
