Truly "plastic-free" electrical kettle, of course the handle and the lid has some plastic parts externally, but the internal contact surface with water/steam is as I can see 100% plastic free, even the filter is plastic-free. This is the only thing I care about and what I am paying for.However, if you are fine drinking plastic water absorbing micro-plastic everyday, then this is an expensive, ugly kettle that I would not recommend.

This is my go to kettle now. It's a great all metal kettle. I like the mesh filter and the lid is very functional. The downside is that the lid get's hot after the water has boiled. The one negative is that the top of the handle isn't insulated, so it gets hot. Where the handle is makes a lot of sense when pouring since it naturally tilts the kettle, but I find you need to hold it higher when filling the kettle up.

I got this in Dec 2020. I keep it next to my desk and it has been used multiple times a day, basically everyday since.I even take it with me to DnD night so I can make tea.I did make one adjustment, adding a cap. My Dad took a 1.5" copper end cap, and attached a wooden knob (like a drawer pull knob) on the flat end bit. (Drilled a hole in the pipe, then used a regular screw). He also put a tiny hole in the side of the cap.This sits on the spout while heating and allows the steam to build up inside, which triggers the auto shut-off function once boiling. This unit does have an anti dryboil, but if you forget it's on, you can end up boiling away a lot of your water and have to start again. (My house has enough humidity via fish tanks to not need a ton of steam mixed in)For some people, this isn't needed, but for me, I am very grateful for it.All metal inside, meaning no plastic getting heated and releasing who knows what into your water.Boils quickly.

I purchased this item expecting high-quality stainless steel, as advertised, but unfortunately, that was not the case. After just two months of use, I’ve already noticed rust spots forming in several areas. This is extremely disappointing, especially since stainless steel is supposed to be resistant to rust and corrosion.I take good care of my kitchenware, so there’s no reason it should be rusting this quickly. This makes me question the actual quality of the materials used. If you’re looking for genuine stainless steel, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Very disappointed with this purchase!

stopped working 4 months after the purchase. It was working great. SadUpdate: I contact their customer service, they said they will send a replacement. That's decent.

I have had this kettle for almost 4 years now and it’s still working great. It heats up the water for my pour-over coffee quickly and looks good at my coffee station. I use distilled water so there is no mineral residue.
