After just a bit of back & forth, they offered to send out a replacement in exchange for my sending the defective unit back for them to look at. I am now questioning whether my initial issue might have been due to user error when I set it up. That connection, no matter how tightly I screw things down, can still rotate 180 degrees on the mic stand connection. I position the stand so that I can swing it out of the way when I'm not in a meeting or recording. The process of swinging it back into place often causes the mic to drop down. That even happens if I happen to gently bump the mic or try to reposition the stand more than a fraction of an inch. It's really unfortunate.
