High levels of B6 and B12 strongly linked to increased cancer risk/mortality in men
Contains potentially dangerous levels of B6 and B12 for men. From the Journal of Clinical Oncology:"Use of supplemental vitamins B6, folate, and B12 was not associated with lung cancer risk among women. In contrast, use of vitamin B6 and B12 from individual supplement sources, but not from multivitamins, was associated with a 30% to 40% increase in lung cancer risk among men. When the 10-year average supplement dose was evaluated, there was an almost two-fold increase in lung cancer risk among men in the highest categories of vitamin B6 (> 20 mg/d; hazard ratio, 1.82; 95% CI, 1.25 to 2.65) and B12 (> 55µg/d; hazard ratio, 1.98; 95% CI, 1.32 to 2.97) compared with nonusers. For vitamin B6 and B12, the risk was even higher among men who were smoking at baseline. In addition, the B6 and B12 associations were apparent in all histologic types except adenocarcinoma, which is the type less related to smoking."From the Journal of the American Medical Association:"Results: During study treatment, median serum folate concentration increased more than 6-fold among participants given folic acid. After a median 39 months of treatment and an additional 38 months of posttrial observational follow-up, 341 participants (10.0%) who received folic acid plus vitamin B12 vs 288 participants (8.4%) who did not receive such treatment were diagnosed with cancer (hazard ratio [HR], 1.21; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.03-1.41; P = .02). A total of 136 (4.0%) who received folic acid plus vitamin B12 vs 100 (2.9%) who did not receive such treatment died from cancer (HR, 1.38; 95% CI, 1.07-1.79; P = .01). A total of 548 patients (16.1%) who received folic acid plus vitamin B12 vs 473 (13.8%) who did not receive such treatment died from any cause (HR, 1.18; 95% CI, 1.04-1.33; P = .01). Results were mainly driven by increased lung cancer incidence in participants who received folic acid plus vitamin B12. Vitamin B6 treatment was not associated with any significant effects. Conclusion: Treatment with folic acid plus vitamin B12 was associated with increased cancer outcomes and all-cause mortality in patients with ischemic heart disease in Norway, where there is no folic acid fortification of foods."

Trusted Brand
I’ve been using Twinlabs for years and trust the brand. I take one capsule daily, and I think it helps my general health and wellbeing. It’s impossible to tell, of course, how effective a multivitamin is, but if you’re going to take one, I’d certainly recommend this one.

You can google what vitamins work best, or read my review (just kidding!)
Consumer groups have a lot of info on line about which vitamins are most effectively absorbed.I'll save you the pain of what I went through reviewing the top 100 vitamins out there:Efficacy of vitamins ranges over a wide scale. The best cost perhaps $3 a day to use. The worst do the job 10% or less as well as the best ones. Name brand rarely coincides with effectiveness. These are powder in a capsule, so they absorb rapidly and do their job well. Cost is reasonable, too. What I found after a lot of research, was these occupy a unique niche between the dollars-a-day designer vitamins and the pennies a day junk, offering nearly the performance of the former at nearly the price of the latter.Enjoy! It's great having quality vitamins and not paying exorbitant prices.Recommended - and used - for years. "It's all the vitamin you'll ever need!"Edited 2019: Re: the "all the vitamin you'll ever need" - not saying it's perfect, just a lot of vitamin for a few bucks.A commenter prompted me about vitamin K2, and as a result, here's a few thoughts:Nota Bene: Any multivitamin is a compromise solution dreamed up by a chemist who decided how much of this, and how little of that, you actually need. The following is for the more in-depth consumer, doesn't really change my mind on how good these vitamins are.A person might want to have more D3, and K2 with it depending upon what sunlight you get, and subsequent direction of calcium to the right places once you take the D3...The folic acid in the vitamin is synthetic, and twice what is in most multivitamins - and if you agree with those who think synthetic folic acid is a cancer risk, or are a person who cannot process the synthetic folate, this might bother you. Of course, if you need or agree with those that say folic acid prevents birth defects, this might make you happy. YMMV...Underdosed on magnesium, possibly a bit strong with the force on Vitamin A.Also a bit powerful overall if your diet is already pretty decent. When you get good fresh clean food, these can seem to become a little tougher to stomach.Of course, that probably means you don't need them as much. That's actually a good thing, and proof that they are doing something. All caveats aside, nothing is perfect, and these are way better than the general run, for way less bucks.STILL highly recommended after all these years! To your health!
