Did the adhesive stay? Was the plastic hook strong enough not to break?** A: I bought one of these 10 months ago to hold towels in my bathroom. I have never had anything heavier than that on it but it seems very sturdy. In a bathroom there is high humidity from the shower and if anything was going to loosen the adhesive, that would do it and it has not budged at all. I wouldn't hesitate to hang a jacket or coat on it. The adhesive seems very strong.
