I also have wide feet and problems with sweating/smelly feet. I also can't wear shoes without socks or the sweat/smelly problem is exasperated. The last thing I really needed was a shoe that would allow me to have enough room to put my custom sole into, which this shoe has! These shoes are breathable and there's plenty of room for my feet with the insole inserted, plus if I want to tighten them I can do that with the strap. I feel like I hit the jackpot with these shoes. I can't say how the support is in the shoes since I did not use them but if you need house shoes that function really well and can fit your custom insoles, these are it! Its really nice that these don't make my feet hot. I normally wear like a size 7-7.5 and I ordered a 7.5, they fit perfectly. My insoles are size 7 but they fit in these great as you can see in the photo.
