I don't want to use the ones that are included in the package it has terrible reviews on those!!** A: Less than 5.5MM diameter may be good. **Q: What size drill bit do I use for the anchors?** A: Use drill bit size 16/64 if you purchased bracket size 4"x4". The hole will allow you to insert the provided anchor by hand (with a bit of effort) up until the stems then use a hammer to get it flushed against the wall. **Q: Can they be painted? Do they take well to paint?** A: Not sure. Probably if you buy the spray paint for metal. **Q: How much weight can the smaller anchors support? It only says up to 50 pounds. I need to use the smaller anchors. What is the weight limit?** A: I don’t know. I have them screwed directly into a wood wall. Amazing, that this manufacturer hasn't got the manufacturing process under control after all these comments about these brackets not having a ninety degree angle. They still don't! But they seem to have gotten the consistency down well: both brackets had exactly the same angle.Can it really be that hard to get this angle to 90 degrees? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very light *by C***H on Reviewed in the United States on 8 July 2024* These aren’t heavy duty by any means. I was only putting up a small piece of wood, so I was a little uncertain of the stability once I saw how light these are. If you can drill at least one side into a stud, though, you’ll be fine. My only negative was that I needed a longer screw to get into the stud.
