I ordered the charger just after making the EV purchase, and also hired a licensed master electrician to install it (highly recommended). Until it was installed, I could only use public chargers, the closest of which is 50 miles away, or the emergency 120V adapter that came with my vehicle (which takes forever like a trickle charge) so it limited the use of my new car for a while. The electrician discovered we needed an upgrade in our electrical service, put in a second circuit breaker box, and laid new wiring to accommodate the charger.
