For me works fine when recording at x4 speed. At x8 it failed and dvd was locked inside. NOTE: THERE IS NO WAY TO REMOVE A LOCKED DVD DISC FROM INSIDE BUT UNSCREWING PHYSICALLY but in my mac I used a virtual machine (parallels), I passed it to it and from there, in windows 11, I was able to remove the disc from inside with no problems. Or just try it in a windows pc. Unfortunately though it really looks the part, It only worked for the odd disc. The last straw was spending 30 minutes trying to get a valuable (To me) album out of it as the tactics mentioned no longer worked. Avoid this and get a Asus disc drive.
