Been staying out of town every week for work so got this. Absolutely worth every penny and one purchase I am glad I made. Easy to use. The door does not budge once fully engaged and tightened. Not only did I try it, but I forgot to put out the do not disturb sign and housekeeping tried it. I feel secure in my room now. I used to always put my purse on the floor right next to me but now I leave it on the dresser. The only thing is the metal does leave a tiny dent in the door frame so if you're in a fancier place where that might be a problem you might want to put something under the metal piece. This is absolutely not leaving my travel bag. I plan to buy a couple more in the near future. One for my house. A cheap way to add security.

We bought these for use on a couple exterior doors when we were away for vacation as extra security. The design is nice and simple and once installed they really do a good job of keeping the door closed. The issue we had was that our door has wood trim around it so it was very difficult to find a way to make the winged washer fit. Maybe if the threaded bolt in the middle was about an inch longer it would have been a lot easier. Other issue is that since our trim was wood, when I tightened it up I made a slight dent in the wood and for one in my garage I even had to notch the wood a bit to make it fit.I would still recommend if you want that added sense of security for your home or room.

It wasn't expensive so I thought I'd give it a try because we had a trip coming up. Two different hotels in two different towns and this lock didn't work on either door. The shaft is way too short to work. Don't bother.

Very sturdy, I use it in the bathroom

They work great but are a pain to use on doors or cabinets that you need access too regularly. They don’t fit just anywhere, very size specific.Also, it works get to keep little children out of things but as the get older they can spin the little stopper and open the door you’re trying to keep shut.

Useful to avoid someone to enter to your room

This seems like a great concept / idea although not the best security. The lip latches to the door frame barely, just enough to avoid the door from opening. Of course it can be pushed open if someone wants to enter, as with a chain. Unfortunately, the lip will not fit a dead bolt or door hold. It won’t enter, making the entire concept unsafe as it remains safer to lock your doors, always! Great idea, but useless! Two stars for imagination.
