It would but I use a computer to make a second copy of photos I take when I travel. I do so wish there was a way for it to do that, too. Actually it doesn't weigh enough less than my laptop and I can read on that and my phone as well so it turns out to be the thing I leave home. A little disappointed in that. As for the rest of it, the Fire works so well and I really love the keyboard. I bought both the keyboard and the cover but really only use the keyboard. It isn't as ergonomically great as the cover, but it works very well. Black was the only color available so it is what I have. Disappointed there, too, as when traveling I try not to have anything black...in a darkish hotel room it can be difficult to find even big things. As a whole the Fire is easy to hold and doesn't feel much different than my original one. The material seems to be the same as my other one so I expect to years of good use out of it and have it still look younger than it is when the time comes to replace it. I read other reviews after I placed my order, and was rather worried. My Fire Max tablet fits perfectly, but there isn’t an edge thick enough to protect the screen in case of a facedown drop. Finally, a cover with a strong magnet! It stands sturdy in both portrait and landscape. One tip is after you fold the cover back, press the bottom right corner to be sure the magnet engages. Then fold out the kickstand. The angle is good for reading, movies or gaming. The only other drawback I see is if you’re looking for any storage with this, you’re out of luck.
