Good. No issues so far.

It has been only 18 hours since this gem was delivered. As usual, amazon has done a wonderful job in delivering this refrigerator at my doorstep on time. Unfortunately, my door was a tad bit narrower than necessary and the amazon delivery guys had to leave the package just outside my door for the installation guys to open and place the refrigerator inside my house. I can only appreciate the outlook and initial work efficiency at this point in time and I see a flawless machine at work. But the actual evaluation can only be done after at least 6 months and I shall definitely do that. Although the LG service staff arrived within few hours of delivery for installation, they managed to take the fridge inside only after making a small dent on the side of the door which I accept as my misfortune. So this should be a warning for future buyers that they should always assess the space available for smooth transport of this gigantic appliance inside their home prior to booking one. The only bad experience that I had was that the installation guys refused to place the refrigerator on a trolley which I had kept ready and demanded money for doing so. Such behaviour should be condemned. As of now, here are the initial pros and cons:Pros:-1. Very spacious with a substantial depth.2. LED lights in both segments.3. Very less noise and no heated side wall while the fridge is switched on.Cons:-1. The steel finish doesn't look fabulous but this is a customer's choice afterall.2. Huge dimensions...one must plan path for transport inside house as well as space for installation beforehand.Overall I am happy that I bought this fridge till now.

After much browsing and research, I zeroed in on this product. It was delivered and installed today all in a single day. Thank you Amazon and LG. Coming to the fridge, it's huge and spacious. The interiors look very classy with the led lighting in both sections. Not many fridges have lights in the freezer. The vegetables and fruit boxes are large. The shelves look sturdy. It's absolutely 🤫. No noise at all. The backside is smooth. The sticker on the door says it will consume around 250 units per year which is a super saver in terms of power bills. One thing that buyers have to keep in mind is that it's a huge machine so proper space needs to be allocated. Transporting it into the house also requires expertise which the delivery staff showed in ample measure. All in all, it's been a great experience thus far. Am certain we will have no problem with its functioning as well. To sum up, if you want a spacious, silent and great looking fridge, this is the one for you. Go for it.

Buying DecisionHaving checked prices locally i found that there is too much of difference in online offers, hence decided to buy online.In the 400 Ltr capacity range you have slightly limited options. I managed to shortlist 3 fridges, LG 420, Samsung 415 and Whirphool 440. LG and Samsung were 4 star rated and Whirphool was 3 star rated, hence I dropped Whirlpool. The Samsung 415 is packed with all the features, Inverter Compressor, 5 mode convertible, LED lights, low power consumption etc.But there were four critical factors that made me to go for LG 420 instead of feature packed samsung 415. 1. The deep freezer is slightly deeper than Samsung. 2. Deep freezer has a led light unlike Samsung. 3. Back is fully covered unlike Samsung 4. LG home appliances track record and good after sales service.Order Placement:I decided to purchase on Amazon as it was offering a good price with the item ready to ship at my location.But the experience was very bad with my first transaction. I went in for the exchange offer. The Amazon delivery guys came with my new fridge. They checked my old fridge which was switching on but had 2 cm rust strip running horizontally right at the bottom. No part was broken due to rust. But the delivery guys told me that my old fridge is not fit for exchange and hence the whole transaction failed. The worst part was that i was not given delivery of the new fridge even after me offering to pay the difference amount. So Amazon expects your old fridge to be in perfect condition which i find absurd because why would anyone do away with a fridge that is perfect in all aspects ? So be careful while taking the exchange offer.When the exchange failed I was told that i would have to reorder the product and this product would go back and a new one would be shipped to me. Which again in silly considering the waste of resources. I was not charged for this process but imagine the amount of fuel and human resource going at waste just because of a ridgid policy of Amazon.So within 2 hours I placed another order for the same fridge and to make matters worse i was informed after 5 days of order confirmation that the fridge is not in stock. So I was forced to cancel the product and wait for the product to come in stock again. And when the product came in stock i made my third order for the same product and thankfully there were no issues this time and the product was delivered on time without any damages or dents.Initial Product Review.Pros:As I have already covered some key aspects that helped me purchase this product I will write in brief over here. Kindly note to make a call yourself to the brand after the delivery. Though Amazon told me that they have raised my installation & demo request with LG but the LG call center denied the same and they took a fresh request from me. The LG customer also suggested to me not to open the package and let the service engineer open it, as that would help in case of return. The LG executive visited my place within 12 hours of the request, quick and hassle free. The fridge is huge and has ample space for needs of 7-8 people. The power consumption is rated as 230 units per year which is excellent. The build quality is sturdy and gives a lasting impression.Cons:No Convertible feature like the Samsung in the same categoryNo LED display panel and temperature adjustment feature on the front door panel like Samsung and Whirlpool.For me both these cons which i have mentioned are gimmicks and useless.Final VerdictA perfect purchase in the price range of 40K

Highly recommended for all looking for a large fridge from good brand with good service backup.Positives1. Large fridge which is enough for 4-5 member families, quite tall at 175 cm.2. Good cooling and very good build quality. Mirror stainless steel finish in front.3. Fast delivery and no scratches or dents - LG technician came next day to explain all features and activate warranty.4. Good net exchange price of Rs 36,500 exchanged my 8 year old Samsung 250 litre double door for Rs 5100 plus 5% cash back on credit card. MRP is Rs 61,990.NegativesNothing so far. Let's see how it works.
