Squirted out dirty, black particles
I may have gotten a defective one but it kept spurting black water out. I put it together properly (not rocket science), put in clean water and ran it s instructed before putting it in my mouth. As I was about to turn off the test drive and use it , it squirted out black water! It kept doing that every few seconds throughout the cycle. I tried to run water through it a few times but nothing worked.Update - after reading many reviews I think the unit was filled with MOLD! I cannot believe they sold me a unit like this. It obviously was not new. Disgusting and dangerous

No home should be without one!
Fantastic product! I purchased one for each of my kids as well. It is really refreshing to be able to add a bit of mouthwash to the reservoir of water since it serves a dual purpose... finishing cleaning with fresh breath but also adding extra protection in between teeth and hard to reach areas since we use a cavity prevention mouthwash with whitener. Another excellent perk is the variety of interchangeable heads! Each of us has our own personal favourite to get the job done. We are very pleased to have purchased one for everyone in our family. It was quite the investment but well worth it.It does take a bit of getting used to and can make a real mess the first couple of times when you are learning how to properly hold the wand and to always be bent over the sink! Checking out Waterpik's video is helpful.I actually thought the whole machine was going to be larger than it is. We find it the perfect size for bathroom counter tops since it doesn't takeIt did not take very long for this Waterpik to become a part of our daily routine, morning and before bed! We are definitely hoping to receive some positive feedback from the dentist on our next visit.

Very Happy
Glad I bought this, only used it once and was surprised by how powerful it digs between the teeth, blew out food I didn't even know was there. I can tell its better than traditional flossing, and will also strengthen gums. Also it is smaller than I thought :)..... Just want to add, after some time using this I noticed the dry sores in my mouth from vaping are gone. Great unexpected surprise.Update- works great but as a side note, I am a person who vapes and notices it gives dry sores in my mouth, but just using this once a day has gotten rid of them completely, and I am a fairly heavy vaper. Also my dentist recommended using mouth wash in it which I also do and would have a hard time going back to just water.(crest diamond with flouride)

NOT QUIETER OR (noticeably) SMALLER THAN THE WATERPIK ULTRA, but still a good product! (see PHOTOS and VIDEO)
I like it, but it's really NOT that different from the Waterpik Ultra that I bought several years ago. It's SUPPOSEDLY QUIETER and with a smaller footprint, but that's not really true. I tested this one against the Ultra, and found really NO difference in the amount of noise between the two! Size-wise, really no noticeable difference in terms of the counter space it takes up. I DO like the fact that the pause button on the handpiece is no longer a push button but now a slider, because the old push button became useless after a while, getting stuck and then no longer useful! So, in summary, NOT noticeably SMALLER and NOT really QUIETER, but still a good product.I also bought the Waterpik WP-560 Cordless Advanced Water Flosser and like that a lot for travel. It's definitely quieter than the Waterpik Traveler (which is about half the size of the regular Waterpik but much louder - like a jackhammer!), so that I don't have to feel bad if I'm getting ready for bed late and there are other people already sleeping (whether in the same hotel room or if I'm staying in a house with extended family)! The only downside is that the water chamber is so small that I generally have to refill it 4-5 times in order to do come close to what I do with my full-size Waterpik.

Does the job but leaks
This is a good unit and runs much quieter than other units I have used. The only problem ( and its a pretty big problem) is this unit leaks like crazy from the contact between the reservoir and the base. When using this make sure to put a towel underneath to catch the leaking water.

Worked great for a time
Purchased this just over 2 years ago, in May 2016. Worked great for a time, but recently started having a power issue where just plugging the flosser in would start it up immediately, as if there was no power button. In addition to the power button no longer working, the massage function no longer works either, so this flosser is now quite lacking in functionality. Probably only a matter of time before it stops working altogether.Quite a shame, really, because it is an otherwise good product. Would've been nice if it would've lasted more than a couple years given the amount I paid for it.

Too loud, decent floss but not amazing
First of all, this thing is WAY too loud. Seriously, it’s like running a diesel engine in your bathroom. Bought it to replace flossing at night; no chance of that happening without waking everyone up. Don’t underestimate the reviews saying it’s loud.Second, it’s alright at actually getting large food particles out from between your teeth, but it’s not as good as proper flossing (where you surround the tooth with floss). It is much faster though. If you have basement where you can use it without waking everyone up, it might be worth it. Definitely not for apartment living.

Good while it lasted.
Only one year after use it doesnt get the pressure up anymore, rendering it useless. When it worked it did the job as my dentist confirmed that there was only very minor plaque buildup within 6 months.I am disappointed because it failed only two weeks after it went out of warranty. That is why I dont recommend it to anyone who wants to use it on a daily base.

Product not working. Returned.
Received the product however unlike other customers I have not got any voltage converter so used my own. But product do not works on 230v here in India. Amazon India & sellers should ensure wether the product they are selling is going to work on Indian voltage before bringing on display to customer. Non applicable product should be removed. What is point in selling the product which is not going to work in current system? Waterpiks cordless product are best as I have used them.

Bye-Bye Dental Floss!
Waterpik products have been around for many years, and users have always extolled their virtues. It was only after my dentist recommended Waterpik as a better alternative to conventional flossing that I decided to make the investment. It really does work as advertised and can observe improved gum health and teeth free of any debris. On vacation recently, I missed the unit so much that I rushed out an purchased a re-chargeable unit for travel.

Product didn't work and didn't get replacement
I did not get a voltage converter. I had to order a voltae converter separately and by the time it arrived 10 days had passed. Anyways, turns out the product does not work. And the seller refuses to replace the defective piece because 10 days have passed. I've not even used the product once so my money was wasted. I would say do not buy this flosser because it might not work and you might not get a replacement like me.

If you hate flossing this is the product to use!!!!!!
If you hate flossing get this. I have noticed by using this every second day that my gums have improved allot. It is a bit messy but you learn after a couple of uses how to manage it properly. I dump in to the tank a shot of mouth wash. leaves your teeth and mouth feeling great. You will be shocked at the amount of stuff that gets pushed out. Start out on a low setting and once a week up the setting. It comes with several tips...I use 2 of them but they are nice to have.Mom is getting one for xmas, same with the girl friend.

Well designed. Ample nozzles to try out. Prefer this to Philips Air Floss.
CAUTION: Be sure to start with the lowest setting for water pressure, until your gums get used to how this works for you. I can't emphasize that enough. You do not want to damage your gum tissue. Okay! As for the product, I prefer this to the Philips AirFloss which is portable, but kind of a "one-note" use. The Waterpik is very versatile. I really liked the assortment of nozzles to try out. I appreciate the tank is easily removed filled and replaced. Try the tank with a bit of mouth-wash mixed in with the water. This will not clog up the pump. I chose white because this will not show splashes as much as the black unit. Recommended, not as a substitute for still not flossing on occasion, but as an alternative that is easy to get used to using daily before or after brushing. *Recommended*

Loud but effective
This waterpik has to be one of the best alternatives to flossing I've come across, with the large water reserve, timing, and multitude of different attachments to target your gums and teeth, you can't really go wrong. Alternative uses I've also found is the ability to clean out my stainless steel coffee filter.Pros:Large Water Reserve for continuous flossingPause slider on handle to minimize splashingEasy to use and convenient opposed to flossingVery effective in cleaning in between teeth, and gumCons:Loud and noisyTakes up a large area of the sink
