One, a surgical scar that would get a bit red/inflamed when my vitamin C levels were low (why don't they tell you to supplement with vitamin C after surgery, as it is necessary for the healing process and to build collagen!) was remedied. Second, it really helps with overall well-being and energy. I rarely get sick (usually take 2-3 of these a day in the am and evening). In addition, I also use a pure ascorbic acid powder mixed with juice, bicarbonate of soda (not baking powder), or in sparkling water, to average about 10grams of Vitamin C per day. I do feel the absorption with these tablets are superior to the powder (from a major high street brand), but the powder is much less expensive per gram.
