The texture is as to be expected and the quality if great. Had not problems ripping it open during a race and I would say it's a great value for the money. Would recommend to those who like fruity flavours but had feeling like gaging from all the sugar when eating them in a race. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good exercise energy 'fuel', easy on the stomach *by on Reviewed in the United States October 14, 2024* GU Energy Gel is good energy 'fuel' for hard exercising, is easy on the stomach and seems to help keep my energy level up on my long hilly bicycle rides (15-30 miles, 1000-2000+ feet climbing). The "GU Energy Original" product provides a good blend of nutrition, energy and electrolytes for those hot weather bicycle rides. Also good for my long hilly hiking outings. Both products -- GU Energy Gel and GU Roctane -- are easier to digest when working out than energy bars. Great variety of flavor choices too.(No I'm not an elite athlete, just a 70+ guy who gets out for exercise a bit.)P.S., GU partners with TerraCycle to recycle these energy gel packets after use.P.S.2, when opening, you can tear the top tab about 90% and get the energy gel out that way, keeping the top tab from becoming road, trail or pocket trash; then save the used packets and send to TerraCycle. ## Frequently Bought Together - GU Energy Original Sports Nutrition Energy Gel, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Kosher, and Dairy-Free On-the-Go Energy for Any Workout, 24-Count, Raspberry Lemonade - GU Energy Original Sports Nutrition Energy Gel, Vegan, Gluten-Free, Kosher, and Dairy-Free On-the-Go Energy for Any Workout, 24-Count, Lemon Sublime - Honey Stinger Organic Honey Waffle Energy Stroopwafel for Exercise, Endurance and Performance Sports Nutrition for Home & Gym, Pre and Post Workout Box of 16 Waffles, 16.96 Ounce (Pack of 16) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ec/products/510510685-gu-energy-original-energy-gels-raspberry-lemonade-24-count](https://www.desertcart.ec/products/510510685-gu-energy-original-energy-gels-raspberry-lemonade-24-count) --- *Product available on Desertcart Ecuador* *Store origin: EC* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
