Someday

Since this was first published this has been one of my favourite books, and a wonderful gift for new parents/baby, ESPECIALLY if it's a girl. I bought it for neighbours who had twin girls. I didn't realise this version was a board book when I bought it (I had always bought hardcover versions previously) but it really does make it very accessible to read/be read by young children too.I bought it for my great-niece about 6 years ago and apparently it has been her very favourite as she grows up.It's a sweet, lovely book and would highly recommend it to anyone.

I originally got this out of the library when my son was little and it always stayed in my mind as a really beautifully touching book - neither my husband or I could read it without welling up. We would laugh about how wet we'd become, but it really is a lovely book.So when I had my little girl, I hunted it down for her first birthday. It's suitable for any child, but the one featured in the illustrations is a girl. Beautifully illustrated story of the circle of life.

I don't cry easily at anything and couldn't finish this without choking up. (It was quite embarassing really!!). Lovely book with simple, heartfelt sentiments and artwork that remind me somewhat of Quentin Blake's. Great gift from a Mum to a Daughter. Put a dedication in it and it will be a lovely gift for her to cherish when she grows up.

Good book but I think more for mummy than baby :) Definitely recommend for mummy that has a daughter as a baby in the book is a girl. Cannot read it out loud without getting teary.

I bought this for my daughters, they are only little but enjoy the story & the lovely illustrations. It is a book we will keep forever, they will have to be older to appreciate the sentiment. But that's what's so great, you can read it to them just now & then keep it for them when they are older. Highly recommended!

I bought this book because I have enjoyed others by the author, but I was unprepared for how moved I would be by this wee picture book. The words are minimal but well chosen; the illustrations are gorgeous. I have ordered several as gifts for friends and family. Even my husband raves about this one and shows it to visitors.
