Review: Technical but great! - This is definately a pretty technical book and I did find it a little daunting in places, but I love it! It is ALL in black and white. Only the cover has colour. It is very good value for money. I thought it would be quite small and thin but is a large spiral bound book. It is a step by step guide to drawing jewellery. Good if you already have an idea of how to draw jewellery but want to know how to draw in perspective. You can go through and do little projects slowly step by step to get it. There is a LOT of information on how to draw in perspective. Very detailed. I have to keep reading it over and over to get it as I have always drawn freehand. It also shows you how to use light and shadow and how to shade flat and curved surfaces and create textures.(such as sand blast, hammer finish, polish, etc..) There is information on drawing different cuts of gemstones such as faceted and cabochon cuts, also different types of pearls. Then putting them into settings and then into perspective. The back of the book contains drawings of jewellery on hands ears etc which is really helpful. This and Techniques of Jewelry Illustration and Colour Rendering by Adolfo Mattiello are my favourites, but value for money this book is amazing. The more I read through it the more I find. I just wish I had been taught how to use all the equipment recomended, such as the set squares, french curves, T-squares, 45' and 30/60' triangles as it doesn't show you how to use them.
Review: professional/serious jeweller design tool - This book is incredibly good for showing how to render and accurately scale your jewellery design ideas in pespective. It ONLY has drawing & illustration - so if anyone is hoping for pictures of finished work examples, they'd be dissapointed. But for those of us that need to add the skills of technical drawing/rendering under our belts, this is a book the likes of which I have not yet seen. I'm extremely grateful to Tim at brynmorgan press for reprinting/releasing this valuable french publication!! (I wish I had been able to get it a year or so ago when I desperately needed it for my course work.) A brilliant dedicated perspective jewellery drawing course.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Concrete and concise.

For those who need to be well versed in technical renderings of jewelry, this is a fine text. It is well illustrated with numerous drawings of luxury objects in perspective. A book to learn by.
