**Q: How is this better than the previous version?**
A: I haven't noticed this being any louder then the previous. The bass is a little better and ports are covered. I think for $33.99 when on sale it's a good deal at only $4 more then the original but at $40 Not so much. The original is $29.99.

**Q: How many watts is this? Does higher watts equal louder volume?**
A: The new SoundCore 2 has double the watts (2 x 6w instead of 2 x 3w).   But...in order to double the volume you'd need to have 10 times the watts.  So you'd need a pair of 30W speakers to double the volume.

It was instantly clear to my wife (not an audiophile, nor am I) that the SoundCore 2 sounded better.   It's just not "night and day" better, nor is it "double the volume" better.   Is it $10 worth better?   Yes...not just for the better sound, but it's been refined to be a better over all experience which I talked about in my review.

**Q: Can you use a cord to plug in directly to phone**
A: Yes, using either a male to male 3.5 mm aux cable OR a usb-c to male 3.5 mm aux cable, whichever your phone supports.  Note that there may be a noticeable lag, meaning it won't be appropriate for watching videos or playing games.  That was my experience, perhaps not all speakers have this issue.  This was on the most recent firmware (4/19/19)

**Q: Does this have a good sound quality**
A: Great sound quality. I am very impressed with it's performance.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Robust sound, totally worth it!

Totally worth it! I forgot my JBL GO 4 when travelling. I was speaking at a workshop and they didn't have audio, only a projector and I wanted to show a video. I shipped this to me hotel and it paired up quickly. The sound is rich and round and deeper than my JBL Go 4. I used this to create classroom ambience with some lo fi beats and then queued up my video. It was more than enough to fill a room of 30-50 people. It also gets louder than the JBLs (JBLs are brighter). Especially as this price point it's a no brainer. Get it! Only downside, which may be an upside for others, is that it had an auto shut off after x amount of time. Great if you're trying to save battery. I booted it up and wanted it to stay on during my workshop as the video came in on my slides at about the 30 min mark and the speaker has turned off by then. No biggie. Just powered it back on and it paired immediately but wish I could turn that feature off
