I own a Dyson Big Ball Animal vacuum, and the main carpet head that came supplied was inadequate for our thick carpets. The head would get sucked onto the carpet to such an extent that it became difficult to push/pull it across the floor and it would take multiple attempts to get a successful pickup.The design of this Turbine Floor tool is much better at both moving across thick carpets and more importantly does a great job at picking up pet hair and general debris without much in the way of multiple passes. It doesn't seem to suck to the carpet as much making it much easier on the arms/wrists, and it's pretty easy to turn around corners etc.As others have already said, this transformed our vacuum and has made the job of carpet cleaning a whole lot easier and in turn quicker. Just remember to make a habit of cleaning the brush bar regularly (after every use if you can) so as to stop hair from building up and diminishing it's effectiveness.

It fits and works well when used to vacuuming the carpets.

Love it. I have 2 very long hair cats plus myself have a long hair - very difficult to get rid of all that from the carpets. Previously used a small upholstery tool but this one makes a real difference. The only downside is cleaning the head - I use scissors to cut through and remove accumulated hair.It fits my dc28, bought a adapter but there was no need for it.

Needed to replace our existing roller end with identical one.

My old head brush kept stopping so followed video to take it apart and clean it but broke it instead. Glad I did because buying this GENUINE replacement was like receiving a new vacuum. Hate cleaning but a joy to use when I have to

Great tool

I bought this when my old hoover head stopped working (blade stopped rotating). It does the job but sometime I need to give it quite a bit of force to click into places. Is was quite expensive too but that seems to be the going rate for this part.
