Only, I've tried just pushing it, and nothing happened?** A: Hi Scott, Hope you're well. There's a small channel in the front edge of the large plastic section and a small raised plastic piece on the rear of the arrow shaped plastic section. If you line up the raised section on the rear of the arrow shaped piece and the channel on the front of the large plastic section and push hard it will engage the two sections. When the Marxman needs to be used simply put the arrow in the required hole and press firmly. Hope this helps. **Q: Are canisters recyclable?** A: No, and it does have its limitations. It is difficult to use upside down, and quite a thick point for access to small holes. **Q: Can you use it on polycarbonate surfaces** A: Ive used on all types of surface. The pen shoots out a powdered chalk that is hi vis. I have just taken care when removing the item marked as not to disturb the chalk so i can still see the marking. The centre in most cases will be the brightest point you can see. I wouldnt be without one (of each) of these pens now ive become use to having one in my toolbox. **Q: Any help? Mine has stopped working. Only used it about 20 times. Has it clogged up any ideas on un clogging and getting it back working?** A: I've had my MarXman for about 12 months and used it loads of times, I haven't had any trouble with it.
