These tailgate lift supports are designed for direct bolt-on installation using factory original mounting points. It can be completed with basic hand tools by DIY vehicle owners. **Q: Do I need to program the vehicle computer after installation?** A: No special programming or reflash is required. You can simply bolt on the struts and clear any existing liftgate trouble codes with a basic OBD scanner if needed. They work directly with your factory liftgate control system. **Q: Will this fix my tailgate that droops and makes grinding noise?** A: Yes. A worn power liftgate strut is the most common cause of tailgate drooping, slow uneven lifting, grinding or squeaking noises, and failure to open/close automatically. Replacing both struts restores smooth, steady factory-level operation. **Q: Will these hold up in rain and cold weather?** A: Yes. These liftgate struts feature a high-strength reinforced metal housing with corrosion-resistant treatment, and a sealed structure that blocks dust and moisture. They are built to withstand extreme temperatures for long-term reliable use. ## Frequently Bought Together - Rear Tailgate Power Lift Support Shock Strut Compatible with Chevy GMC Cadillac Vehicle 2015-2020 Suburban Tahoe Yukon, 2015-2019 Escalade Escalade ESV, Replace #84306929 84183515 84183516 23408748 - APPERFiT Center Console Latch Handle (Chrome) 22861304 for Middle Console Armrest Lid Compatible with 2014-2020 Chevy Silverado & GMC Sierra 1500 2500 3500 Tahoe Suburban Yukon - 6 Button Key Fob Shell Replacement Fits for Chevy Suburban Tahoe GMC Yukon XL Denali HYQ1AA 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019 2020 Keyless Entry Remote Control Smart Car Key Fob Case Cover --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ec/products/493198083-rear-tailgate-power-lift-support-shock-strut-compatible-with-2015](https://www.desertcart.ec/products/493198083-rear-tailgate-power-lift-support-shock-strut-compatible-with-2015) --- *Product available on Desertcart Ecuador* *Store origin: EC* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
