It is what it is and does what it does
I use this product primarily as a woodworking tool as opposed to general carpentry. It's one of those odd tools that seems like it would be more useful that it really is. That being said, I have two versions of this tool from two different vendors and I have to base the bulk of my review score on a comparison between the two.The first one I purchased was pretty much all plastic and I simply can't recommend it. The all metal construction of the Ankace product is far superior. The metal version holds the angle better and provides a more accurate transfer due to the rigid construction. From this prospective, the Ankace product is a much better version of the tool.I took off a star because I do think there is room for improvement. I only use the measurements on the tool as a reference to itself. In other words, I would not not consider this device to be a precision measuring device. It is not advertised as such so I wouldn't expect it to function as such. However having precision measurements would increase the utility of this product. It can be awkward to handle when you don't have something to abut against. And as I said earlier it just isn't as useful as you'd think it would be. It's only real use is as a template/transfer tool.Overall I use this product to help visualize how a work piece will fit together, especially when creating something that will fit into an existing space. When it comes to getting accurate angle measurements I use a Starrett 505A-12 protractor.

This tool is great for laying out multiple or complex angles!
I installed 1000sf of wide plank porcelain tile in our home and you can see from the picture the types and numbers of angles that had to be marked and cut due to the architectural features of the home. The tile is not cheap so getting the cuts right the first time is critical. The Ankace multi-angleizer was the just the ticket for getting this all done quickly and easily. One of the best "Value" tools I purchased in a long time. Great quality.

So many uses...a must for DIY!!
When I saw this product I hoped it would be useful in laying a brick patio design and cutting weird leftover small pieces. I was RIGHT! This has helped us so much with cutting bricks to the perfect size to complete our pattern. I’ve seen it far more expensively priced, but this ruler is a great quality metal; in its own carry bag, and perfectly priced.

So far so good, I recommend it
Way better than those plastic things! You still need to be gentle with it (like most tools), but it's easy to read and holds its position pretty well.I'm a finish carpenter, and love getting new gadgets that help improve speed and precision. This is one of those. It's not exactly something you'll carry around in your belt, but I've only used it a few times now and it's probably saved me an hour or more already in making templates for peculiar cuts.It also makes already easy layout tasks even easier, like notching wainscot around switch/outlet boxes. I make the square size I need for a single gang box, set the boards together as they would be set on the wall, mark 1 side and the top then set it in place and trace it out. Badda Bing!

This tool has potential
I have watched YouTube videos which demonstrate its utility, and I can definitely see how this product might be useful to me. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is that I've not actually put to use.I know there is a plastic version out there. Thankfully, the claim that this version is metal is TRUE. Consequently, I trust it will hold up to at least the level of use an amateur would give it.Would-be buyers should keep in mind it is very affordable, which should inspire "taking a chance" to experiment with it. You haven't much to lose. And you might be very pleasantly surprised.

Beware - the product you receive might be very different...
Beware - the product you receive might be very different from what is described and depicted on the product page. The tool I received is different in almost every way except it is also painted black. If allowed, I'll upload photos.1) The initial warning signal: cheap plain box with no branding, no product name, and no "user's manual" as shown on the product page.2) General fit and finish is embarrassingly horrible.3) The bars, rather than solid, are of some kind of cheap cast metal and hollow from the back. This makes the bars so thick they are cumbersome.4) The back-of-bar knob retainer "nubs", rather than being recessed flush with the back of the bars, stand proud of the back of the bars. So the entire assembly rocks on those proud bumps!5) The knobs, are not even consistently machined and appear to be made of cheap pot metal.6) The scales, rather than being laser-etched and paint-filled, are sloppily painted on the face of the bars.7) Even if one could "suck it up" and ignore the above product design defects, reasonably hand-tightening the knobs results in bars that still pivot - making it difficult to maintain the settings you hoped to lock in.8) No "luxury velvet pouch" - no protective pouch whatsoever.I've generally had really good luck receiving items as described on the Amazon product pages. Note this was both "ships and sold by Amazon" for me. Perhaps the real "Ankace" product is only available from "TANYA LIMITED SHOP"? The one I received will spend less than a couple hours in our home - to the WF Amazon Locker it goes - thank goodness for Amazon's return policy.

A life changer
Best ever bought 2 . My daughter does stained glass windows and with all the glass she cuts with different angles makes her project less stressful. My husband is going to lay down a new floor in the kitchen as you know angles. Everyone should own this product.
