A: The game is for 2-5 players.  It isn’t playable solo.

**Q: Anyone figure out what the 5 cards with the four declarable colors in the corners are used for?  There's nothing in the instructions about them.**
A: You can use them to identify the color of the card you are playing by putting the card on top of the color in front of you.  Completely optional.

**Q: What happens if you run out of tokens while playing?**
A: You should never run out of tokens. You have the amount you need to play and you can use the tokens you remove from player board also.

Cat in the Box is an absolutely awesome trick-taking game. The whole mechanic about the suit of the card is not decided until you play the card is cleverly designed, hits that perfect balance between easy to learn, hard to master. The cats on the cards are super cute, it’s my wife’s favorite part of the game, it just makes the whole thing funner for some reason. The rules are not too bad to grasp, it took me like 10 minutes to explain. Especially if the people you’re playing with already know how to play trick taking games. We played with three people but I’m excited to get this to the table with more. I think this game is for you if you really like games like Hearts or Spades, but want some thing a little more challenging or you just want to spice it up. Also the pacing is on point, it stays nail biting for just long enough until somebody ends up, inevitably causing a Paradox lol. In conclusion, this game earns a solid 5-star rating and comes highly recommended from me.
