The package was delivered intact and everything that was in the description was supplied, the ink cartridges are easy to install and a couple of gentle squeezes had the ink flowing smoothly. The pen is comfortable to hold and easy to adjust the angle to change the width of the stroke. A great pen and I highly recommend it and will be buying a smaller nib size once I have semi-mastered this one.

**Q: Does anyone know if there is an ink converter for this pen?**
A: Yes, there is a converter called Pilot CON-40.

**Q: Can this be used as a dip pen (like to dip it in the ink?)**
A: No I wouldn't recommend using it this way. The pen uses a flow of ink and a failure of supply 'mid-flourish' would spoil the effect.

**Q: Hi. Has anyone used this pen, the 3.8 nib with a converter? If so which one? Thanks.**
A: Even if you find a converter you will need to be careful which ink you use. I use the Pilot Parallels daily and use either the proprietary cartridges, or treat them as dip pens. Both work fine. Replacing the ink in the cartridge with a needle is easy, but most inks don't flow well through the mechanism.

**Q: Is the ink black or green? Not clear on the description.**
A: The ink is the colour of the cartridge you place in your pen. The green colour of your pen does not determine the colour of your ink. 
This pen actually comes with two coloured inks and you can purchase more colours or black only cartridge packs compatible with the pen separately.

As others have stated this is a quality pen, a great pen for calligraphy. The package was delivered intact and everything that was in the description was supplied, the ink cartridges are easy to install and a couple of gentle squeezes had the ink flowing smoothly. The pen is comfortable to hold and easy to adjust the angle to change the width of the stroke. A great pen and I highly recommend it and will be buying a smaller nib size once I have semi-mastered this one.

This pen is unique and takes time to master but gives a perfect finish. Worthwhile trying on different papers to minimise feathering because it puts a lot of ink onto the surface. Excellent though when you get used to it.
