The lead is just long enough to reach from the wire I have from the wall socket, through the boot, and to the charger which is tucked into a side well in the boot. The adapter is strong and of high quality. It did require doing some rewiring of the fuse box to make the boot accessory socket permanently connected, but that only took ten minutes with a fuse adapter.
