Review: Great set! - I used these to cut 3/8” rabbets along both edges of some longer boards for floating shelves I’m building. The blades gave a nice clean cut and were easily able to handle the rip, which I was initially worried about since they are designed for shorter cuts. This didn’t bog down my compact portable saw at all as long as I fed nice and slow with good dust collection. By the way I have the DeWalt jobsite saw (DWE7485) and the blades fit just fine on my arbor and even fit with the provided throat plate! Highly recommend these blades!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I use it in with a DW745 table saw**
A: I have these blades and a Dewalt DW745 — they work fantastically well. The arbor is long enough, the nut is fully threaded. I have not experienced any issue with lack of power in the saw while using these blades, but i'm not rushing the cuts.

**Q: My problem is I am getting a ridge on the base of the slot left side this is left blade on 1/4 cut.
Blade is on shaft not threads. Any suggestions ?**
A: Thomas had the correct answer. You are uneven because one blade is on shaft, smaller, and one blade is on threaded post, bigger, Put a washer on with a 5/8" hole, something like a fender washer. This will push the first blade out, and then both will be on the threads. IOW same height. On many saws this will also occur on a dado set, same fix. Though with a Dado set it will decrease you shaft length by the thickness of the blade. On this set with only 2 rim blades, this is NOT an issue. Freud is making a zillion blades a day,. all are laser cut, none of them are ever going to be different sizes. EVER.

**Q: Can I put this set on a 10 inch table saw?**
A: john forte said on December 22, 2013  |  Edit Ok, here is how to get both blades together perfectly. First find a 5/8 inch ( I'll call it a test dowel ). It can be any material as long as it fits tight into the blades. Then after you put the two blades on the dowel take a small C-CLAMP and tighten the blades together. They are now perfectly aligned. Now put the blades onto the arbor and tighten the arbor nut. Remove the C-CLAMP. The box joints will be perfect. I have been using this method with 100 per cent success all the time.

**Q: Can I use this with a DW7480?**
A: My experience with the Freud SBOX8 shows it accurately cuts box joint slots when used on an accurate saw. I use the SBOX8 blade set in conjunction with the INCRA IBOX jig. The SBOX8 blade set has performed excellently.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Box Joint Blades!

I bought these blades after trying to make box joints with a set of Avanti dado blades from Homer Depot. Those blades shredded the wood and cut a curved bottom, making it impossible to make a clean fitting joint. Enter these blades by Freud... These blades are sheer perfection! They are razor sharp and make perfect cuts. The sides are straight and have zero tear-out. The bottom of the cut is perfectly flat. Couldn't get any better no matter how much you spend on a set of blades. I will mostly use them for 3/8-inch joints. The cut was within .002 inch of that size. These are the best joint blades I've ever used. Don't hesitate to buy them. You will not regret it at all.
