We bought a house with a beautiful fire place but the previous home owner was a chain smoker. This stuff got all the tar and cigarette smell out of the bricks and made it look brand new! The gallon only lasted about half the fireplace in total but our fireplace is massive and is in the middle of the house with 4 sides. Plus we were very generous applying the solution to the bricks.
