DuroStar DS1050 1050-Watt 2-Hp Air Cooled Gas Powered Portable Generator

I got this for a handyman friend who just needed a little ac/power for lights and tools on the job. I was amazed at what I got for the money! I ran some real world load tests on this unit and found it will surge to well over 1500 watts and was able to run a 2hp saw motor which my G-1000 Generac would never do at nearly five times the price. Surprised at how easy it is to use and how quiet and smooth running it is with a 2 stroke motor. And that leads to my one point of disappointment, the ad said "gas engine" and Low Oil Shut Down. That to me meant 4 stroke engine, IT IS NOT A 4 stroke and I would not have bought had I known that! All that said this is a great little generator for the money and time will tell just good it is. I will up date if it turns out to be a p.o.s.

This thing surprised me. I was not expecting something so small to produce enough electricity!As far as gasoline generators go, you don't get much more portable than this. It's pretty heavy, but due to its size I'd say it's easy to carry.Naturally, as it is an internal combustion engine, it's noisey. About the loudness of a lawnmower. Maybe a bit louder.If you get yourself a long run extension cable (100 ft heavy duty) you can set it up far from you, helping to cut down the noise. Or you can put it in your van. (Just make sure to vent the exhaust properly otherwise you could cause a death!)All in all, I love this Genny!

Worth the $125. It’s nice not having to do oil changes. The manual isn’t the greatest but overall it’s not a horrible reference. Starts up easy. 10/10 would recommend.

Had problems turning it on even by following all the steps on the manual. I’ve decided to return it in the near future but for now I have purchased another one on Amazon which for my second work van which is the same brand I bought a few months ago the only difference this time I bought one with lower wattage, 2000 watts instead of 3250 watts

It started right up, but did not produce power. So does me no good. Waiting on seller to replay to my return request.

This product does not run consistently. It dies out every once in a while and you have to go out and restart it. Also, it says it Is capable of powering some tools as the picture implies In the instructions but the power output is just about enough to run a Lamp, radio or charge some devices.

I bought this generator for a job that was getting the electric panel changed.., while I was tiling the bathroom.ran 2 fans lights and the tile saw several times It worked perfectly ran at half load most of the day. With the saw and grinder here and there.almost 6 hours the first day . On 1 tank . Love it

Awesome little generator I’m powering 12. 60 W LED floodlights on a boat bowfishing boat. Noise level is at a minimum I didn’t want something too big to take up a lot of room in the boat but this thing has the power I need Great product
