Very good and I highly recommend it.
First off I want to disagree with the statement in the above review that the phrases "watering pot" and "leg shackled" can appear in other than Regency novels. That's just stupid. I was also stymied by the one review that said there was too much sexual content, like that's even a thing. Too much sexual content. That's like too much chocolate. Sigh. But mostly, there is another review on here that almost made me skip this book, because it questioned why such an awesome hero should like an annoying twit etc. I got the impression from this that the heroine is a too stupid to live type, or prickly with no good reason. Not so, and the relationship made perfect sense to me. The villain, well that was a stretch but not too big.And now the review. So here's Ashley, friend of May from Jude's Law. She keeps running into this hottie millionaire who seems to be interested in her. Coming from poverty, having been bullied and never feeling good enough, she questions his interest. He doesn't see these things, and in fact having come from wealth, takes all that nonsense for granted and is looking for someone real. Later on we find out more about him that doesn't fit with the usual corporate shark typecasting. Ashley is fighting not to be consumed by this relationship, because her goals are important to her and she needs to believe that she can overcome her beginnings and accomplish something on her own merit. Secret enemies and the drama thereof ensues, and the story progresses very nicely. Without spoilers, its worth noting that Lori resolves one of the thinly disguised secrets that was ought over from the first book, but I was disappointed that May was not a part of the discovery. Maybe we can imagine she will be now. We know there's no third book, but there's plenty of room for it. I'd like to see a story about Tim, or Denny.

The chemistry between these two flowed off the pages
Murphy's Law was a really good book. The characters couldn't be more opposite but I did love that about this book. Quinton the successful businessman has his sites set on Ashley who is far from rich and working multiple jobs to put support herself.I love Quinton and his tenacity, he was protective and sooo sweet. He didn't falter and as I got to know more about him the more I loved him.Ashley oh did I love her, she had no filter, no qualms about saying what was on her mind her character was soo refreshing. The chemistry between these two flowed off the pages. There is some crazy suspense in this book and moments that will make you take a deep breath. A really good read that I would recommend if you are looking for an opposites attract with a push/pull between two characters.

I loved this book
I loved this book. Lori Foster is a wonderful writer who includes complex characters, and twists and turns. I originally read the paperback version and when I found the ebook version I couldn't pass up the opportunity to purchase it. While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I suggest it be read after Jude's Law so you will understand some of the characters and story line. I loved the way Quintin Murphy wouldn't give up chasing Ashley Miles, even though she shut him down at every turn. The chemistry between them was so intensive it was difficult for them to stay away from each other. However, each of them had things they were hiding or trying to work through. I loved that in the end they were able to help each other with the hurdles they were facing. The dialog is fast and funny. The characters are believable and likable. The way Lori Foster writes her characters reminds me a lot of Jennifer Crusie and Rachel Gibson.

Great read
Quinton and Ashley belong together and deserve each other as well. I'm glad Tim is growing up and becoming a decent person. Ashley and May were already sisters of the heart but I'm glad May took it so well and wasn't hurt again by her so called family. The interaction between Quinton,Ashley and the kids he sponsors is very heartwarming. They will make great parents for their kids as well as the children they sponsor. I would recommend this story to any adult reader who enjoys a sexy, funny and touching romance.

Loved it
Ashley has had to fight for everything she has alone. Working two jobs and going to school leaves her with no spare time. One night she meets Quinton Murphy who has an office in the building she cleans. He's fascinated by her looks and attitude and asks her out. She turns him down until she needs a date to her best friend's wedding. The chemistry between them is off the charts. In the meantime there's a killer loose who wants Ashley dead. Great story.

good read
This is a nice conclusion to Jude's Law. In Jude's Law you were given a taste of this couple's growing interest. Character's you enjoyed in the previous book reappear. One character from the previous book grows as an individual however you don't exactly see how this happens. You will grow to like this person. There's instant fire between this couple and they don't waste time in building a relationship . Appreciation and understanding comes later. Attraction gets the ball rolling. Not a bad book. Very entertaining and fun. You find closure at the end of this story. I would not read murphy's law book without reading Jude's law first.

Murphy's Law
Foster is an excellent writer, that allows the reader to feel everything that the characters are reading. It touches on the feeling that all women share about their bodies and our perception to the opposite sex. This book is book two in the series( preceded by Jude's Law). The story line follows almost the same flow of pretty woman with a Jane Austen "persuasion" type twist; girl from wrong side of tracks meets affluent and protective guy. What she does differently is keeps you guessing and this is what makes it hard to put down, even for an e book. Definitely worth the buy.
