Now that I have a six month old, I cannot say enough about these Indestructibles books. For a couple of months, my baby is much more interested in putting books in her mouth, then in being read to. It frustrates her when I don’t hand her the book to be able to put it in her mouth, but even if I didn’t mind her mouthing all her books, the thick hard board books are too difficult for her to put in her mouth, and thinner ones with paper I worry scrape the inside of her mouth. These Indestructibles, however, allow her to hold them, turn the pages (even if inadvertently), and put them in her mouth, with little lasting damage. I’ll admit, at the end of a play session, the books look terrible. However, I just flatten them out between some heavy books overnight, and they look almost as good as new by morning. When she gets fussy, playing with them immediately calms her down. I’m sure in a few more months she’ll even be interested in having them read to her. I love them so much I’m including Indestructibles books in baby gifts to others that I know that are pregnant right now.
