Review: Stress free cake transport! - I’ve been coveting the cake safe for over a year now and I’m so glad I finally purchased, as all prior cake deliveries have been super stressful. This 2 hour delivery was a breeze…..even after a hard braking near collision on the motorway and some very bumpy back roads. The instructions were clear and combined with watching videos it was quite straightforward to put together and use. Putting the rod through the cake worked just like the videos! Was great to be able to chill the whole cake complete and not have to assemble on site. Set up literally took a few minutes. Yes the cost is £££ but worth it for the confidence of an in tact delivery 😊❤️🎂❤️ it’s 5 stars and 2 thumbs up from me

I’ve just purchased the Mini/Tall so I can transport taller cakes and deliver 2 wedding cakes in one load. I bought it to reduce the stress of wedding cake deliveries, it certainly does that. They are now a breeze! I don’t worry about speed ramps or bumpy country roads, the cake does not shift at all. I’m now quicker at the venues too as I transport cakes fully decorated and have them on the cake table in a matter of minutes. The rod goes through cake drums and cake cards, it goes through better if I stand on a chair above it or I put the Cake Safe on the floor and push from above as you need a bit of force. when I use Masonite boards I drill a 2 inch hole in the centre to allow the rod through, the same goes for hardboard cake boards. These are an absolutely brilliant piece of equipment and a game changer if you make and deliver a lot of tiered cakes as I do. I absolutely love them!

**Q: When placing the cake into the cake safe, do you have to insert the dowel throughout the cake itself? If so, is it messy to remove?**
A: Hello! Thank you for the question. The Center Rod is inserted through the cake and its cake boards. The rod creates a small 3/8” hole at the top of the Cake that is easily covered with fondant, buttercream, or a topper. There is no squishing of tiers or giant hole to worry about. The rod then easily twists out of the cake when you deliver at the venue. All of our CakeSafes come with a detailed instructions sheet that explains every step of assembly, delivery, and disassembly! **Q: I would like to replace the center dowel to support it at the event. is the center hole size large enough to replace a support dowel?**
A: Hello! The hole that the rod creates is 3/8 of an inch in diameter. That should fit most standard size poly dowels!

**Q: Do you need a special cake drum?**
A: Hi! Thanks for the great question. You don't need a special cake drum per say. If the drum is made of cardboard or styrofoam, is 1/2 an inch thick or thinner, and can be pierced with a knife, the center rod will pierce through it with no problem. If the drum is made of wood, MDF, or hard plastic, is thicker than 1/2 inch, and cannot be pierced with a knife, you must drill a 2 inch hole in the center for the rod to pass through.

**Q: Can a cake be stored in the fridge on the carrier for days without the cake suffering to get dry?**
A: Hello! Thanks for the question. You can store your cake inside of the CakeSafe and refrigerate the whole unit overnight as long as the CakeSafe fits in your refrigerator! It can stay for a few days in the CakeSafe with no problem.

Absolutely love my cakesafe! I should have bought one sooner. My cake deliveries feel very smooth and stress free. Just knowing that it's not sliding around or moving in the car just gives you that peace of mind. Pro - cakesafe isn't heavy so it's doesn't contribute to the already heavy tiered cake - The cake remains cool inside - Metal dowl prevents the cake from moving while in transit - looks super professional and impressive when delivering cakes at venues Cons - haven't experienced any problems
