Review: Best decaf cold brew beans so far - I drink a ton of coldbrew (I like it black) but don’t always need the caffeine, so I always have a batch of decaf in the fridge. Jo’s decaf beans brew a fantastic rich, complex, smooth, minimally acidic cold brew. I have been really impressed with the consistent freshness, bean quality and roast; med-dark. I only brew with a toddy brewer (it’s ugly but the absolute best) and approx 8:1 ratio; 300g of beans using the 30 grind on my Baratza grinder and fill the rest of the toddy with filtered water (around 2400g of water). Brew 24hours and filter. If you let it sit in the fridge for another 24 hours more complex flavors develop. No magic dilution- depends on the mood; around 1:1 or 2:1. I have been trying a ton of different beans and keep coming back to this one. It’s currently #1 in my decaf rotation.

I drink a ton of coldbrew (I like it black) but don’t always need the caffeine, so I always have a batch of decaf in the fridge. Jo’s decaf beans brew a fantastic rich, complex, smooth, minimally acidic cold brew. I have been really impressed with the consistent freshness, bean quality and roast; med-dark. I only brew with a toddy brewer (it’s ugly but the absolute best) and approx 8:1 ratio; 300g of beans using the 30 grind on my Baratza grinder and fill the rest of the toddy with filtered water (around 2400g of water). Brew 24hours and filter. If you let it sit in the fridge for another 24 hours more complex flavors develop. No magic dilution- depends on the mood; around 1:1 or 2:1. I have been trying a ton of different beans and keep coming back to this one. It’s currently #1 in my decaf rotation.
