It is true to size for me, a large and isn't too small or too roomy (5'8" 150). The sleeves could have been just a tad longer, as I'm tall, but it isn't a deal breaker. (I just ordered another one in a different color and XL). I haven't washed it yet but I always use cold water delicate cycle and skip the dryer on all my outerwear that I don't dry clean.
