If you don't believe you need 1000, then it may make sense to buy a smaller quantity, even if the unit price is a penny or two higher. **Q: are the pencils non toxic certified?** A: Pencils are no longer certified non toxic but are required to be labeled with any toxic ingredients i.e. lead. These pencils are non-toxic. **Q: can these be customized??** A: No. These are really cheap Chinese pencils, but serve their purpose for students who don't care for things. They are pre-sharpened, but not of the quality of Dixon Ticonderoga pencils.
