### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works very well for our laundry with three kids and husband who is a mechanic and his clothes are always gross

My husband is a mechanic and I have three small kids so we have pretty intense laundry. These work surprisingly well. For nearly all loads I use five nuts in a bag. I don't know exactly how long they last, but I know that cost wise we are spending less on detergent than we did before we used these. I don't have an exact comparison, but we do a lot of laundry and I have to buy these much less often than regular detergent and they cost about the same as our previous detergent. So same price but buying less often means saving $.There are two instances where I supplement these with additional things, but I did that with our previous detergent too so it is not unique to this. When I wash my husband's clothes which are covered with oil most of the time, I wash on hot, extra rinse, and I include Dawn to break up some of the oil. However, I did this with other detergents too so it doesn't really say much about the nuts not being strong enough. My experience is that for oil, Dawn is the only thing that really gets at it. I put maybe two tablespoons in.And when the clothes have stains, I use Clorox 2. I rub it on the stain and let it sit. But again, I did this with other detergent too.Overall very impressive for a house that does a lot of gross laundry.Update six months later - this all still stands. I have to buy these very rarely and aside from the annoyance of finding them so you don't put them in the dryer with the clothes, we are still very pleased even with our intensive laundry needs

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm NUTS FOR these eco NUTS!

So nice to find a way to wash our clothes, and not redeposit nasty chemicals onto the fabric! I even bought my girlfriend and her family some, tha'ts how much I love this product. Offers me a clean safe way to wash my clothes. The more chemicals you put onto your clothes, the more you breathe in, and those sort of residues can cause ASTHMA. Think about the dyes on your clothes, then you add detergent, fabric softener, and then you carry around those chemicals on you "clean" clothes. Who wants to smell like Gain, or Tide? These are great for your BABY's clothes, dog pillows, even our bathroom rugs. NO more measuring, no more chemicals, just clean clean clean. Buy some, and share with your friends. The less petroleum we use in our homes, the better off we are in general.SIDE NOTE: i have noticed there are bad reviews of this product and to them I say, stop using petroleum products. If you need extra boost with your eco nuts try seventh generation OXY Product. If you use "free& clear" products besides whats eco friendly, you are just re-depositing petroleum smells on your clothes, in the machine, etc. and the reside is harder to remove; not to mention you COVER YOUR ECO NUTS with those nasty products!It may take a few washing to get out the residue you think SMELLS CLEAN. Use the nuts, wo residue from other petroleum products, or softener, and they will work. If you have NASTY smells, USE DISTILLED vinegar, not more petroleum products. That's like cutting your NOSE OFF to spite your face! LOL VINEGAR always works for smells, use FULL STRENGTH to soak smelly athletic equipment/clothes, you can even POUR it onto the clothes b4 you wash them to insure that article of clothes is rid of the smell. And no, vinegar does not make leave a smell behind. If it does, you need to do a TUB CLEAN on your washer to ensure the machine is clean, first.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love them, with conditions!

I would give these a 3.5 if I could. They are such a great idea, I love the eco friendly factor, the lack of palm oil usage, the fact they are natural and have no scent or colorings etc. If everyone used these just think of all the plastic jugs and palm oil that would be saved! They are also cost friendly too.I tried them out (in secret from my family, wanted to see if anyone noticed!) on various types of laundry including heavily soiled items and not so heavily soiled. Here's what I found:- using hot water is a must, these are not so good using cold wash or hand wash function on the machine- food stains or paint stains will need pre-treating, the nuts don't get them out just doing a regular wash- there is no scent at all which can be quite disturbing the first few times as we are so conditioned to sniff the laundry. After a while I liked that there is literally no smell because it means the clothes are clean but not impregnated with artificial chemicals.- the clothes dry a little crispier than if you use conventional products. Again, for some items I actually really like this feature. For example, dish clothes. They all feel like they will absorb more and are not coated in chemical conditioning residue. For towels, I experimented using the dryer afterwards and they were almost as fluffy as when using fabric conditioned. When air dried, they are crispier (which is the same case even if you use conditioner so I think the variable here is the dryer).- For Adult gym clothing which is very sweaty I found best results when I first sprayed the items with a vinegar and water solution. Even when I use conventional products or even specific products for gym clothing the sweat smell clings to the sweat-wicking fabrics these days. So pre-spray with vinegar, then wash wth the nuts and maybe even throw in a little more vinegar for the wash cycle too.In summary. I really like them but have not transitioned 'fully' as I have some conventional products left and also I find for some items I still want to use the conventional stuff, like heavily stained kids clothes. I probably do about 60% of my laundry with the nuts, which means I'm using 60% less of the chemical stuff which is a step in the right direction. The only other negative is that my husband threw away a bag of the nuts because he and my son thought they were acorns?! I guess that serves me right for not telling them about the nuts :) but it now means I am one little bag down!
