The moles will dig exit holes and cover them with a layer of dirt. I dug the dirt layer out with a table spoon, drop the worn in the hole and place a rock over the open hole. Next morning, lift the rock and the hole is again covered by a layer or dirt. I would remove the dirt, and the worm was gone.
